Rebalancing – Therapeutic bodywork
From thinking to feeling, to being
From thinking to feeling, to being
Rebalancing is a body-oriented therapy for people experiencing stress and tension who wish to develop a deeper connection with themselves through touch, breath, and self-inquiry.
During a Rebalancing session, focus is given to:
Rebalancing is not a technique to “fix” anything, but an invitation to be with yourself with attention, curiosity, and gentleness. It opens the way to greater self-acceptance and the breaking of old patterns.
De Kintsugi metaphor: everything you’ve lived through shapes who you are, and it’s meant to be seen.
Rebalancing gives me the tools I had been looking for. It helps me get out of my head more easily, feel more fully, and recognise the voice of my inner critic. I am learning to accept myself in all my facets and am experiencing increasing inner space, even though I still encounter challenges.
For a long time, I was in “doing mode” (working hard, caring for others, pleasing). A way of surviving that turned out to be deeply intertwined with my family story, as a child of parents profoundly affected by the war. Without realising it, a certain hardening had developed, further reinforced by my work in the film and television industry.
Through Rebalancing, I am learning to feel the layers of tension and old survival patterns rather than analyse them. Softening arises by pausing, breathing, and simply being. I don’t need to prove myself to matter. Especially not to myself.
