As a gift, a voucher for a massage or foot reflexology session can be a meaningful way to express your love, support or gratitude to someone deserving of a moment of self-care or body awareness.

With breathwork sessions, I find intrinsic motivation an important factor. Therefore, you cannot offer these as gifts with me.

The cost for a gift voucher is the same as that of the introductory offer, provided the recipient is a new client.

STADSPAS

For people on a small budget, I once in a while offer a limited number of breathwork sessions upon presentation of a Stadspas (City Pass). Please send me a message if you are interested.

Policy

I do not provide medical or erotic massages.
I am not authorised to diagnose medical conditions and I do not perform miracles. However, breath and bodywork can be very powerful tools.
If you are receiving (medical) treatment from a GP, doctor, specialist or therapist – or when you are using medication – please consult with them to verify that a bodywork or breathing session is indicated. Please make sure to inform me of any medical issues prior to our appointment.
I pay attention to my own personal hygiene and expect the same from you.
Cancellations can be done up to 48 hours before the start of a session. However, the session will remain booked and can always be rescheduled to a new date. If you are late or do not show up at our appointment, the possibility to reschedule will expire and you will be charged as if you attended. You can, of course, book a new session.
After your session, I will send you a payment request and I will ask you to transfer the amount directly to me.
The mentioned introductory offer is a one-time discount.
3-punch cards are personal and non-transferable. A card is valid for up to one year after the date of purchase and cannot be combined with other promotions or discounts.
The Essence of Presence is a member of the National Association of Naturopathic Therapists (LVNT). This professional association values quality and trust. In accordance with the Dutch Healthcare Quality, Complaints and Disputes Act (WKKGZ), the LNVT has joined an independent complaints committee for alternative medicine. As a member, I am also subject to disciplinary law.

What if you are not happy?

I do everything I can to treat you in a competent and respectful manner. Nevertheless, sometimes you might experience it differently, and then I would appreciate it if you discussed your discontent with me. Should you find this difficult or should we not be able to resolve the matter together, you can follow the (Dutch) step-by-step plan of the LVNT.

COVID-19

For your and my safety, I follow the guidelines of the RIVM (the Dutch National Institute for Public Health and the Environment) and the professional association LVNT.

The following special measures apply to my studio:

Our session can only go ahead if we are both free of COVID-19 related complaints, such as a cold, sore throat, headache, runny nose, coughing, sneezing, tightness in the chest or fever. I am relying on both of our common senses here.
Also, if your housemates or family members have these symptoms, or if you have been in contact with someone infected with COVID-19 in the past 10 days, I will ask you to reschedule our appointment. Only after you have been symptom-free for 24 hours can you make a new appointment.
Have you been vaccinated recently? Then it is advisable to wait at least 5 days in view of possible side effects.
If you decide to move your appointment for health reasons (COVID-19), you can do so up to 10 hours before the start of your session.
I plan enough time between each client to thoroughly clean and air the room.
